Character designed and modeled by me for the game "Nico and the Weighing of the Heart." This is part of the capstone project that I am leading at Florida International University from 2025 to 2026.
This model was a major step forward for me in character sculpting and game art production. Even though we aimed for a simplified visual style (using animatable face textures, for example), I focused heavily on improving from my previous character works. Within the short production window, I dedicated time to studying body structure and refining clean, game-ready topology for efficient deformation and animation.
The sculpt, retopology, UVs, and texturing were all handled by me as part of our pipeline for Unreal Engine integration.
Nico is a soul caught between sin and salvation who must journey through the Duat to prove himself and defeat the demoness Ammit by facing his own fears, temptations, and past mistakes.
